🔴 SOLD - First oil painting; “Dreamers” (2024), Oil on unstretched canvas, 54x85 inches

This is my first in-studio painting technically, as I started it first years ago, yet never completed because in the middle of painting it I had the idea for “St. Alice of Portland” while working on “Dreamers” (then untitled). I actually started it on three different surfaces before this final canvas. I finally finished this painting now five years later after I learned how to use oil paint. I knew with oils I could achieve results I could not with acrylic. With oils I was able to create richer depth, saturation, details and more lifelike subjects. As with all of my art there are many themes, symbolism and easter eggs within the work including hints and nods to things like Alice in Wonderland and Lord of The Rings.
